इस लेख में नया कुछ भी नही है, अगर आप पहले से कम्प्यूटर पर हिन्दी का प्रयोग कर रहे हैं, तो लेख आपके कोई काम का नही. सारी सामग्री सर्वज्ञ पर मौजूद है, पर चूंकि सर्वज्ञ पर काफ़ी विस्तार से बताया गया है, मुझे लगा, कि “फ़टाफ़ट अंग्रेजी सीखें” जैसा कोई रेपिडेक्स सामान हिन्दी के लिये भी होना चाहिये…उनके लिये, जो ज्यादा डिटेल मे नही जाना चाहते/सकते….और अपने दिमाग पर कम से कम जोर डाल कर, न्यूनतम समय एवं प्रयास लगा कर हिन्दी का प्रयोग करना शुरु कर सकें. कृपया बतायें कि इस प्रक्रिया को और छोटा/सरल किया जा सकता है क्या?

To Read Hindi on Your Computer

If you can properly read Hindi Text on this page, skip this section & move to Hindi Writing. You computer is too intelligent to take this lesson . If not, follow these steps.

Step 1: In your browser toolbar, go to View > Encoding > Unicode(UTF-8). Check if you are able to read Hindi text now. If not, follow step 2.

Step 2: Visit www.bbchindi.com . Click on the link “Hindi Font Download” there. When asked for the option to “Run” or “Save”, click “Run”. Restart the system once the process is over, & its done !!!

To Write Hindi on Your Computer

Here I assume that you can read hindi by now, so the instructions are in Hindi only.

एक फ़ाइल खुलेगी, उसे अपने कम्प्यूटर पर Save कर लें(मात्र १.१५ MB).

जब सेव हो जाये तो इसे Run करें, सोफ़्टवेयर आपके कम्प्यूटर पर Install हो जायेगा. आपके Desktop पर BarahaIME 1.0 नाम का एक icon बन जायेगा, जब उसे दो चपत लगायेंगे (Double Click) तो यह काम करेगा.

कैसे काम करेगा ?

आपकी Screen के नीचे दायें कोने में एक हरे रंग का चिन्ह बन जायेगा…जिसे चपत लगा कर आप भाषा चुन सकते हैं, यह लगभग सभी प्रमुख भारतीय भाषाओं को सपोर्ट करता है…Hindi-English में Switch करने के लिये F11 का प्रयोग करें. हिन्दी ठीक उसी तरह टाइप करें जैसे आप अंग्रेजी टाइप करते हैं (उदाहरण, काम लिखने के लिये kaam टाइप करें)
